This programme aims to speed up the development and testing of potential treatments, and to bring more clinical trials to the UK for people living with or likely to develop dementia.

As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we work to increase the numbers of clinicians working in dementia research by providing more training and development opportunities.

For clinicians who've delivered previous dementia research projects and have clear plans to establish their own research programme.
For our Doctoral Clinical Fellowships, we are proud to partner with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)-funded UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN), giving aspiring clinical academics hands-on experience in dementia clinical trials, with the aim of developing future leaders in clinical trial research.

Bringing researchers together across the drug discovery and clinical research pipelines, we build a strong research community and provide opportunities to collaborate.
Alzheimer’s Research UK and Cure Parkinson’s have joined forces(opens in new tab) to find new treatments for people living with Parkinson’s and dementia.
As scientists discover more shared drug targets between Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, the International Linked Clinical Trials (iLCT)(opens in new tab) programme, led by Cure Parkinson’s and Van Andel Institute, will host a joint session at the annual prioritisation meeting which for the second year running, will bring together experts from both areas to evaluate drugs with potential across these diseases.
