Our Dementia Drug Prioritisation Programme
For researchers
Help us identify promising dementia drugs to move forward into future trials.
Alzheimer's Research UK is launching a dementia-focused drug prioritisation programme to identify potential drugs to move forward into clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
An independent panel of experts in dementia research, clinical development and people affected by dementia will evaluate candidates across the phases of clinical development, from early phase to later stage candidates, to prioritise which should move forward.
Part of the first meeting will focus on potential drugs that could progress into future arms of AD-SMART, a large-scale, UK-wide, Phase 2b/3 multi-arm, multi-stage platform trial for Alzheimer’s disease.
We invite clinicians and researchers across academia and industry to suggest potential candidate drugs for consideration.
We're looking for drugs that:
-
Target a biological mechanism implicated in diseases that cause dementia
-
Have been evaluated in clinical studies for any indication (approved or investigational)
-
Address an unmet need or overcome limitations of current approaches
-
Have the potential to modify disease progression
-
Have evidence of CNS penetrance where relevant to the mechanism of action
Please complete this short survey or send candidate drugs and supporting information to research@alzheimersresearchuk.org.
