Alzheimer’s Research UK is updating its grant management system and will soon be migrating from its legacy system GrantTracker, to its new grant management system, Flexigrant®. This change does not affect any of our open calls or our upcoming call timelines. GrantTracker will remain in operation until the end of 31 March, 2026, and during this time users will continue to be able to submit applications and have access to their award information.

Following 31 March and a short migration period, Flexigrant is expected to launch in late April, after which users will be able to access their award information and make funding applications on Flexigrant.

Please read below for more information and our FAQs.

What is Flexigrant

Flexigrant is an online application portal used by a range of independent and government funders worldwide. We choose Flexigrant to make the grant application and award management process as straightforward and intuitive as possible for our researchers.

Flexigrant provides a clearer application workflow with greater automation and validation, helping improve application quality and save time. It also provides a data-secure, reliable platform designed specifically for managing research grants, with improved visibility of your application, award details, and reporting requirements.

What does this mean for applicants and grantholders?

If you are applying for one of our currently open grant rounds with a closing date of 4 March, 2026 (PhD Scholarship, Research Fellowship, Senior Research Fellowship), please submit your application on GrantTracker.

If you have previously applied for or currently hold an award with Alzheimer’s Research UK, your information will be automatically migrated to a Flexigrant account. Grantholders should continue to submit their Progress Reports on GrantTracker as they normally work.  In due course, we will send you more information on how to access your new Flexigrant account, so you do not need to do anything for now.

What this means for Host Institutions

If you hold an institutional account in GrantTracker, your details and awards associated with your institution will automatically be migrated to a Flexigrant account. We will contact Host Institution users in due course on how to access your new Flexigrant account, so you do not need to do anything for now.

Please note that during the migration period after 31 March 2026, invoices submitted may take slightly longer than usual to process.
