
Talks and Q&A with Dr Aida Suarez Gonzalez and Dr Ross Paterson from our University College London Research Network.
This session focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, with talks covering the impact that the disease has on the brain and on those living with dementia.
Speakers

Dr Aida Suarez Gonzalez is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and a Senior Research Associate in the Dementia Research Centre at UCL. She conducts research into dementia diagnosis and care, with a particular interest in improving the accuracy of diagnosis and creating tools and solutions to overcome challenges patients may face. Dr Suarez Gonzalez will speak about her recent work researching the impact of COVID-19 on people with dementia.

Dr Ross Paterson is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow and Honorary Consultant Neurologist at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. He collaborates with researchers at Washington University, studying the proteins involved with Alzheimer’s and other dementias and how they change as disease progresses. Dr Paterson will share his recent work understanding the impact of COVID-19 on the brain.
