Employees of East Anglian-based chartered accountants Price Bailey raised more than £16,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK at their annual charity fun day recently. The figure means the overall amount raised by the firm so far this year is more than £23,000.

The practice-wide fun day was the latest in a year-long fundraising campaign for the charity which has seen Price Bailey employees cycling, cake baking, car washing and a host of other activities designed to raise much needed cash.Price Bailey total

The day saw employees take part in activities including a sponsored car wash, treasure hunts, barbecues, raffles and even a boardroom table tennis tournament. In addition, many employees donated the day’s pay in the knowledge that they are supporting a good cause, with some wishing to match a salary sacrifice in favour of the charity.

James King, the partner responsible for corporate social responsibility said:

“The commitment and the inventiveness of the staff has been amazing. I’m delighted to see that we have achieved so much, with more to come. This money will make a real difference to the work that Alzheimer’s Research UK does.”

Jess Sayer, Regional Fundraising Officer at Alzheimer’s Research UK added:

“Everyone should feel really proud of the enormous amount of money raised, and we’d like to say a big thank you to Price Bailey staff for their support . The money that has been so generously given by everyone at Price Bailey is enough to fund vital resources and equipment for our scientists, bringing new preventions, improved diagnosis and new treatments for this devastating condition ever closer.”
