Why an orange?

Too many people think dementia is just a part of ageing, but the truth is it’s caused by physical diseases. The damage caused by Alzheimer’s can lead to a brain weighing around 140g less than a healthy one – that’s about the weight of an orange.

History has shown that diseases can be slowed. They can be stopped. Research can do the same for dementia, and we need you to help spread the word. It’s never been more important.
