Community Champions raise awareness of what dementia is, how to reduce risk, and the value of research in making breakthroughs possible.

They do this by speaking to people, sharing dementia information, and directing people to further support.

They help us engage people from specific communities in a way that is culturally appropriate.

We are currently looking to reach people from South Asian communities in the Leicester area.

If you have strong ties within this community and would like to increase understanding of dementia, break down stigma, and help improve the health and wellbeing of people in your local community, then this is the role for you.

We will provide you with training so you can learn more about dementia, brain health and taking part in research. You'll be given all the tools, information and support you need to start arranging talks and events in your local area.

You will need to be available to attend this in-person training over 1.5 days in Leicester in early 2023.
