From talks to cheque presentations, help us to break down the stigma of dementia.
As a Community Speaker for Alzheimer’s Research UK, you’ll be playing a huge part in helping to increase public understanding, breaking down the stigma of dementia and our vital work to overcome it. Community Speakers will attend cheque presentations, make a short thank you speech and pose for a photo on our behalf, to make sure our supporters feel appreciated.
You’ll also be involved in important activities and opportunities including giving talks to local organisations and community groups in your local area, acting as an ambassador for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Either way you can rest assured that you’ll be fully supported by your Regional Fundraising Officer and given full training and all the resources you need.

I’ve been a volunteer for Alzheimer’s Research UK since my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2002. I have spoken at public events and even joined the late Sir Terry Pratchett when he delivered a major petition to Number 10…I’m doing my bit to create a lasting legacy for my mother.
