Payment of Wills

Alzheimer’s Research UK pays for supporters to get a standard Will written for free through Farewill, Co-op Legal and The National Free Wills Network. A standard Will is usually defined as having a small number of straightforward bequests. Alzheimer’s Research UK does not pay for more complicated Wills. If you have overseas property, you’d like help with inheritance tax planning, or you’d like to create a trust, your Will is not likely to be classed as standard and you should seek specialist legal advice.

If the cost of writing your Will exceeds the agreed fixed sum with each service provider, you are responsible for the extra amount. Your chosen Will writer may discuss additional charges with you if your Will is not considered standard and you may need to pay further costs. When giving instructions you should check that the cost of the Will is covered.

The price of a Will varies between each Will writing provider and channel.
