Up to £2,000
Date to be set
The scheme is to promote networking, collaborations, communication and dissemination of research results through scientific conferences.
If you are organising a conference and would like financial support from Alzheimer’s Research UK, we are able to support you through sponsorship. We are keen to support relevant conferences by providing funding of up to £2,000.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are temporarily pausing applications for this grant scheme. We will communicate any updates via this webpage in due course, so please do keep checking back for the latest information regarding this grant scheme.
Applicants must be organising or hosting the conference.
The lead applicant and point of contact must be based in a UK academic/research institution. However, the conference co-applicants and venue may be international.
The Lead Applicant is expected to have a contract (fixed term or tenure) which covers the proposed duration of the grant. Alzheimer's Research UK can contribute to salaries of co-applicants that do not have tenure or fixed term contracts but not to Lead Applicant salaries.
If the Lead Applicant does not hold a tenure appointment, the application must include a co-applicant that does.
See our Eligibility Guidelines for further information.
Applications are made via our grant application website.
If you have sponsorship packages available, please complete the application form attaching details of the packages.
A decision on whether to provide sponsorship or funding is made by the Alzheimer’s Research UK Research Team.
The terms and conditions of grant differ for each grant scheme and contracts are drawn up individually once the grants have been awarded.
All grant holders are expected to report on their projects. We will ask for a brief report shortly after your conference has taken place.
