Organise a coffee morning to help fight for a cure
Coffee. Cake. Good friends.
Sounds like a lovely way to spend some time doesn’t it? Organise a coffee morning, or afternoon, for Alzheimer’s Research UK and you could raise funds to help defeat dementia at the same time as chatting with people in your local community.
All you need are a few key ingredients to make your coffee morning a success and join the fight to cure dementia:
- A venue – which could be your home
- Some willing volunteers – cake bakers and coffee makers
- Advertising – such as posters in your local area, and some invitations
- Some Alzheimer’s Research UK collection pots for donations
- Lots of Alzheimer’s Research UK materials to decorate your venue.
Dementia is one of the world’s greatest challenges. It shatters lives and leaves millions heartbroken. Every pound you raise through selling cakes and coffee will fund pioneering research that will make a difference to people’s lives.

“I could hardly believe it when I counted the money at the end of the day as our total raised was £800! I’m still in shock, but in a nice way, and I just feel privileged to live in such a wonderfully supportive village.” Susie Hewer, who organised a coffee morning for Alzheimer’s Research UK
Raising £120 could support our scientists to analyse the crucial proteins that are thought to damage brain cells and cause Alzheimer’s disease.
