The trek begins and ends at the heart of the world’s highest mountain range in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and the centre of the Tibetan community are located.
The expedition follows the Uhl River, through rhododendron and evergreen forests, taking in Hindu settlements and isolated Buddhist monasteries. The region remains largely unvisited, which makes it a pristine and unspoilt area to trek.
You can consider extending your stay to explore the Taj Mahal, Keoladeo National Park and Fatephur Sikri.
