Getting a dementia diagnosis
What happens after a dementia diagnosis?
If a specialist diagnoses you with dementia, your ongoing care usually moves back to your GP. Your GP can support you with treatment, check‑ups, and referrals if needed.
People with dementia are usually offered a review with their GP every year.
