Event details
The ARUK Explorer Hike takes place in the beautiful Peak District, exclusively for Alzheimer’s Research UK supporters. Take on the walk solo , with friends, or meet people on the day who share a connection to dementia.
Your 26-mile hike will begin at Bakewell, with a coach to take you there from our start and finish point in Carsington Water. Once you cross the finish line you’ll be rewarded with your medal, snacks, and refreshments. Along the route there will be fully stocked pitstops where you can stop to chat to volunteers and other walkers, or just take a well-earned break!
If you’d love to take part but you’re worried about the distance, why not join us for our 8-mile hike, which takes place at the same time! Whichever route you pick, you’ll be surrounded by stunning natural views while you raise awareness and vital funds.
