David Mayhew

David took on the role of Vice President, following his standing down as Alzheimer's Research UK Chair at the beginning of 2023. David held the position of Chair for more than a decade and, during that time, oversaw a huge transformation at the charity, helping to drive forward our ambitious strategy and programmes.

David was the former Chairman of J.P. Morgan Cazenove and is now Vice Chairman of J.P. Morgan’s global investment bank. Besides excellence in his field, David also brings a strong personal commitment to driving forward Alzheimer’s Research UK to support new breakthroughs in dementia research. He was appointed by the then Prime Minister as the Dementia Envoy for the UK in 2016 where he played a wide role in supporting the delivery of the Government’s 2020 Challenge on Dementia.
