What are the Alzheimer’s Research UK Supporter Awards?
The Awards are an exciting addition to our active programme of supporter recognition. Nine award categories have been created to showcase the wide breadth of ways our supporters get involved with the charity, from raising awareness to participating in sporting events. As part of our commitment to accessibility, the awards will be held online rather than in person. Our fantastic nominees will be celebrated on our website and social media channels later in the year.
Why are they being held online?
EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) matters to us at Alzheimer’s Research UK. By holding the Awards online rather than in a central location, they instantly become more accessible. There are also no limits on the number of people who can engage with the content.
How were the categories selected?
The categories were designed with the many different supporter-facing teams across Alzheimer’s Research UK to ensure fair representation of our wide supporter base.
How are the winners selected?
Our voting panel volunteered their time to read through all the nominee information and cast a vote for their favourite in each category. The panel is made up of our interim CEO, a supporter, a Trustee, and one Director and one Manager at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
How does the Outstanding Commitment Award differ from the other categories?
This award honours six outstanding individuals for their exceptional commitment to Alzheimer’s Research UK, and it will not go to the awards judging panel.
