Research projects

We fund scientific investigations that offer the best hope of finding ways to diagnose, treat and prevent Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies and frontotemporal dementia.

In these pages you can find more information on research projects we are currently funding. We are currently supporting 140 research projects across the UK, worth over £20 million. Our pioneering research projects are the best in their field. Our projects include small, innovative pilot studies to test new ideas and theories. We also support large collaborative studies to answer the big questions about dementia. Read more about all our 15 grant schemes and how we choose which projects to fund.
