Alzheimer’s Research UK is very grateful to our loyal groups in Cambridge and Newquay, who have been raising funds for dementia research and supporting our charity in other ways for years. They have made a significant contribution to our growth and progress.

In our drive to raise sufficient funds to double our investment in dementia research by 2014, we are now looking to expand our network of groups across the UK. CAMART

The Cambridge Alzheimer’s Research UK Group (CAMART) were our first group to form and have supported us for over ten years. From coffee mornings and supermarket collections to Christmas card sales and giving us feedback on our new literature, we don’t know where we’d be without this stalwart group! Over the years they have provided invaluable support for local research, choosing to support Dr Coleman and his team at Babraham with their well-raised funds.

Newquay ART Support Group

With seven existing core members (and many more who give invaluable support from the sidelines!), our Newquay Support Group have raised phenomenal sums through a varied array of their own fundraising ventures – from supermarket collections to whist nights, bar quizzes, coffee mornings and second-hand book sales – and by supporting local fundraising initiatives.
