Alzheimer’s Research UK is currently funding top scientists through more than 140 groundbreaking projects worth over £20 million in our determination to defeat dementia. As we receive no government funding, we rely on our enthusiastic supporters to fund this crucial research.
There are lots of ways you can get involved in defeating dementia:
You could fundraise for us, cooking up a storm with a Cook for a Cure fundraising dinner, exercising your brain with a Battle of the Brains quiz, or taking on our Target Twelve Hundred challenge. Or get inspired by other active and sociable fundraisers’ ideas – or come up with a new idea of your own!
If you are a member of a club, group or society you could fundraise for us.
If you have personal experience of dementia, you can volunteer to become a media champion and raise awareness of the disease.
We have more and more corporate partners coming on board making us their charity of the year and holding fundraising events for us. These companies tell us that fundraising activity helps with both staff bonding and company reputation as well as blazing the trail for our specialist work.
Support from charitable trusts enables us to fund vital scientific research into dementia.
Or you can contact us to discuss other volunteering opportunities - for example, you could join or set up a ARUK group.
If you want to take on the challenge and get involved with our growing charity, contact the fundraising team on 0300 111 5555 or email fundraising@alzheimersresearchuk.org
