Alzheimer Research UK’s vision is a world free from dementia. A key part of our strategy is to accelerate the translation of fundamental research to patient benefit. To that end, ARUK is funding three Drug Discovery Institutes (DDIs) in premier academic institutions. This initiative is based upon the concept that there will be significant advantages in juxtaposing high calibre drug discovery skills alongside academic scientists who possess deep understanding of disease mechanisms, models and the patient. Each DDI will each comprise of up to 30 scientists, most probably evenly split between biologists and medicinal chemists, who will report to a Lead Biologist and Chemist, who in turn will report to the CSO.

Sporting Events Manager

Competitive Salary (dependent on experience) plus benefits

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is responsible for securing income from individuals and groups fundraising in the community, managing relationships effectively to maximise income. The Sports Events Manager role will sit within the community team, with the remit of rapidly developing our sporting events offering and account managing a major relationship with a sporting events organiser.
